Compact non-powered asset tracking

The Oyster2 provides visibility of your non-powered asset’s. Improving your ability to track down an asset’s location in cases of theft or loss, pinpointing the location of mission critical hardware in the field, and enabling integration with Smartrak’s automated geofence alert functions.

The Oyster2 features in-built GPS and a self-contained, user replaceable power source to ensure location tracking of assets and enable tools such as geofences to manage asset use and movement.

The Importance of Long-Life Batteries

An item of equipment such as a generator that’s left on a worksite or taken into the field, needs a tracking device with the longevity to operate for extended periods between battery changes. Smartrak’s Oyster2 features long-life batteries to support prolonged use of your assets in the field.

The Oyster2 features Adaptive Tracking, which switches between stationary and moving modes. When the device is stationary the rate of reporting (signals sent) is automatically reduced to preserve battery life. The Oyster2 will also notify the fleet administrator if the battery is running low.
